This half-day trip begins with
a 65-kilometer curvy, coastal drive to the Temple of Poseidon, the God
of the sea. Our first stop on the way to Cape Sounion is in P. Faliro
where the heroic battleship “Averof” is docked. This battleship
participated in World War II and has been modified to be a naval museum
with unique and precious exhibits. The condition of the ship is perfect
and when you go on board you can see the place where heroes fought. |

may want to have a swim in the aquamarine waters of the Aegean Sea with
a view of the temple. Enjoy lunch on the beach at a seafood taverna,
feasting on fresh grilled fish or have a traditional Greek meal. See the
magnificent ancient monument dedicated to the God of the Sea, Poseidon,
before returning to Athens. This tour can also be done in the
afternoon allowing yourself to witness an absolutely breathtaking
sunset from the Temple. |
